For a long time, diesel-powered workover rigs have held the vast majority of the workover rig market share. They are generally characterized by significant noise, poor safety, high fuel consumption, low power utilization, and severe pollution. In recent years, electric frequency conversion workover rigs and switched reluctance motor-powered workover rigs have been trialed in major oilfields. However, workover rigs typically operate in relatively remote locations and have substantial power demands, alongside high requirements for power quality and reliability. The limited capacity of power grids in remote areas cannot meet the operational needs of conventional electric workover rigs.
Our company conducted research and initiated the XJ250 supercapacitor energy storage electric workover rig project in 2012. In 2013, it successfully completed industrial operation tests in the Zhongyuan Oilfield of Sinopec with excellent results, effectively resolving the issue of insufficient grid capacity. This project received unanimous praise from Sinopec management at all levels, passed the advanced equipment appraisal organized by the Sinopec Group, and was awarded the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress.
Product Features
◆High-speed DSP chip ensures high precision, fast speed, and a dynamic response time of less than 100ms.
◆Real-time monitoring of grid capacity and load changes, with automatic adjustment of compensation power.
◆Effectively recovers regenerative energy during braking and lowering operations; approximately 0.4 kWh of energy is recovered per lowering cycle of a 3000-meter drill string.
◆Strong anti-interference capability, comprehensive self-diagnostic and protection functions.
◆Stable operation, high charge/discharge power, effectively avoids impact on the grid or generator caused by sudden load changes.
◆Compatible with various power supply modes including grid power, diesel generators, natural gas generators, and photovoltaics.
◆Compact size, mounted directly on the vehicle-borne workover rig for convenient transport.
◆Long service life, capable of up to 1,000,000 deep charge/discharge cycles, equivalent to approximately 20 years.
◆Wide operating temperature range: can operate normally from -20°C to +45°C.
◆Unique splash-proof and cooling technology ensures safe and reliable outdoor operation.
◆Does not alter the work cycle or the driller's operating habits.
